Non Preferred Coverage

All fee for service plans (except BCBS Basic, BCBS FEP Blue Focus), and some HMOs, let you use physicians and other providers who are not "preferred"; if you are willing to pay extra for benefits. When HMOs provide this option, it is called "point-of-service" (POS) or "opt-out".
